  I have been looking for a good chinese restaurant in the Toledo area and hoped I had found it in Tsou's Place. But alas, the search continues. The cashier/hostess, who I believe may be one of the owners, was very pleasant and made me feel welcome. She made me want this meal to be good! I ordered the General Tso's Chicken meal (served with an egg roll and rice), as well as an order of shrimp with lobster aauce and a small egg drop soup. The egg rolls, while small (just a little larger than most places' spring rolls), were actually very flavorful. The egg drop soup, which again was a small order, definitely lived up to the size, and while it was different from the usually glowing yellow goo with floating eggs, it was also fairly decent. But unfortunately, the meal quickly.went downhill from there. The General's chicken was almost flavorless and tasted very dry, despite seeing some of the sauce on the chicken. The portion was also fairly small, but given that I did not like the dish at all, I didn't even finish the meal. The shrimp with lobster sauce was just as dreadful. While there seemed to be a decent amount of shrimp, although smaller shrimp than are usually served in this dish by other restaurants, the sauce was again rather bland, and the vegetable selection did nothing to augment this. It was at least edible to help fill me up (I had planned to have leftovers for lunch the next day), but only sfter picking the shrimp and mushrooms from the rest of the meal. Strangely, it also appeared to have pork in the dish, the thin strips that are usually found in soups, though these also lacked flavor and I generally avoided eating them as well. Overall, this was a very disappointing meal and I will definitely not go back, though because of the service, as well as the egg rolls and somewhat the soup, I couldn't give this just 1 star.
